Bass Looping…
So back from like 2006-2008, I was doing some solo gigs with a loop pedal, my bass and my synth. By the time I stopped, gigs were a cool mix of post-rocky/jazzy loops, ambient soundscapes, and solo bass pieces. It was a pretty good times, and I got to open for some other cool musicians (like That 1 Guy). Things just kind of fizzled out, because it was hard to do as a serious, stand-alone project.
Which is why I’m excited to announce that I’ll be making a brief return to the looping stage:
July 9 @ Sky Dragon Centre in Hamilton, ON. More into TBA, but should be a very cool, chill evening of looping and non-looping music. If you’re in the area, please come check it out!
Haven’t disappeared, just moving slowly
I have a tendency to get distracted by other things and ignore my pedals, but I’ve been working on some new ideas for the previously mentioned collaboration possibility (although I haven’t heard anything from their end since I made the post). Sounds pretty.
Also, I suck at photoshop. Anyone feel kind enough to make me some cover art for the Morning Sun single? Looks kind of bare on Bandcamp. I’ll give free copies of the next album to whoever submits something good. :)
—Entity Leaving (Soundscape)
Thought this would be cool to post. Recorded this (as myself, not Like Clouds) for the end of 25:17’s single “Entity Leaving (Haunted Pt. 2)” this past December. The first new ambient work I had done since probably sometime in 2008.
Thanks to him for letting me share this. Follow him here and listen to his music here.
Also, in talks to do a collaboration with an ambient musician I really enjoy. Stay tuned!
Been kind of busy lately, which has been distracting me from exploring new ideas. I think “Morning Sun” (see a few posts back) turned out great, and hope to create more in a similar stylistic direction, although the creative process is always surprising.
Unrelated, the first EP has been getting some decent attention over at Bandcamp. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please do.
Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the pieces so far :). Hit up the Comments? page if you’re so inclined.
Aif is for Audiophiles
Finally got around to uploading a lossless version of the album. If you care about that sort of thing, it’s now available in .AIF format.

Getting up there…
The EP has apparently been downloaded 72 times so far, according to Mediafire. Lets try to boost that number a bit. Here’s the link to download the EP for free: http://www.mediafire.com/?wo0qhc385cgcczf
If you like what you hear, or just like ambient music in general, reblog and share with your friends/followers. :)
